þat alle kynne cristene · clansith of synne
and as þou seest somtyme sodeinlich of a torche
þe blase be y-blowen out ȝut brennyth þe weke
with-oute leye & light · lightT fuyr in þe mach
So ys þe holy gost god & grace with-owton mercy
To alle vnkynde creatures · þat coueyton to destruye
leel lycam & lifC · þat our lord shupte
and as glowyng gledes gladeth not þes werkmen
þat worchon & wakon in wynteres nyghtes
as doth a kex or a candel þat caughthath / caught hath fuyr & blaseth
No more doth þe sire ne þe sone ne seyntT to-gidres
